2019年6月9日: 第4回伊豆稲取キンメマラソン2019（静岡県）

Unforgettable!

出場種目：ハーフマラソン

This is a tough race held in a beautiful location with wonderful local support. Sometimes I wanted to give up on the big hills of the race, but the cheering from all the local people and other runners helped keep me going. The views from parts of the course down to the coast are also beautiful. I definitely recommend staying the night before the race and enjoying one of the amazing onsen in Izu-Inatori or Izu-Atagawa.

Because the part of the course is cross-country and there is often a chance of rain at this time of year, be sure to pack two pairs of shoes. Because of the rain, I ended up wearing my trail running shoes for the race. Not ideal for the rods, but it was definitely worth it for the extra grip during the cross-country section at the start.
